The authors define a new fractional \(q\)-derivative termed as a generalized composite fractional \(q\)-derivative. They consider some useful basic results for it, and also obtain solutions of a \(q\)-difference equation with this \(q\)-derivative, using the \(q\)-Laplace transform and its inverse.
