The authors estimate the degree of approximation of \(f\in H(\alpha,p)\) (where \(H(\alpha,p)\) is a subspace of \(L^p\) equipped withthe generalized Hölder metric) by the Taylor mean \(T_n(f;x)\). This result yields better estimates on such an approximation for the Lipschitz class of \(L^p\) functions.
