A split least-squares characteristic mixed finite element method for the convection dominated Sobolev equations (English)
0 references
The authors present a split least squares characteristic mixed finite element method to solve the convection dominated Sobolev equations. The approximation thus constructed converge with optimal order in normed space for the unknown flux. A one-dimensional covection dominated Sobolev equation is considered to confirm the validity of the approximation.
