Presentation a mathematical model for bone metastases control by using tamoxifen (English)

This work considers a problem of spatiotemporal dynamics of factors controlling the growth of bone cancer metastases under influence of a drug (here tamoxifen is considered as an example). The model consists of the system of reaction-diffusion partial differential equations constructed similarly to the equations of population dynamics with the Holling II functional response. The drug concentration dynamics satisfies the ordinary differential equation with the standard linear kinetics. The illustrating solutions are obtained numerically via the finite difference scheme (however, it should be noted that he spatiotemporal lattice is sufficiently coarse).
