\(\delta\)-exceedance records and random adaptive walks (English)
0 references
The purpose of this paper is to provide a careful analysis of the generalized \(\delta\)-exceedance record problem with a monotonically varying negative effect. Adaptive random walks will play a basic role in this study. The mathematical problem is first stated, and then the authors consider successively decreasing handicap and increasing handicap. They discuss the length of adaptive walk and consider successively the Gumbel class and the Weibull class.
