About mechanisms of meteorites destruction and heat transfer to their surfaces (English)

Different mechanisms for brittle damage of space bodies moving in the Earth atmosphere, when variations of mass loss along a trajectory are taken into account, are described by modified equations of the meteorite physics. Then the motions of two real meteorites -- Kunya-Urgench (1998) and Tchelyabinsk (2013) -- are analyzed by the proposed approach.
