Nonlocal model for the formation of ripple topography induced by ion bombardment. Nonhomogeneous nanostructures (English)

In the frame of deterministic approaches, a formulation of the non-local mathematical model of erosion processes on a surface of the planar plate under the action of an ions flow is realized. The base part of the model is composed of a nonlinear evolution equation with partial derivatives in relation to divergent spatial arguments. The equation presents a new class of functional-differential equations. A generalized periodic boundary problem on the base of the equation is stated and qualitative properties (stability, bifurcations, asymptotics) of nonostructures are investigated.
