On Fourier algebra of a locally compact hypergroup (English)

Analogs of the Fourier and Fourier-Stieltjes algebras for hypergroups introduced by \textit{V. Muruganandam} [J. Aust. Math. Soc. 82, No. 1, 59--83 (2007; Zbl 1138.43007)] are Banach spaces, but in general not Banach algebras. The authors give sufficient conditions, under which they are Banach algebras. The conditions are satisfied for the double coset hypergroup of a locally compact group.
