The paper is a survey of the main ideas and constructions related to the Tannaka-Krein duality for coactions of compact quantum groups on \(C^*\)-algebras. In particular, the following subjects are covered: the category \(\operatorname{Rep}(G)\) of unitary finite-dimensional representations of a compact quantum group \(G\); Tannaka-Krein reconstruction in terms of \(\operatorname{Rep}(G)\)-module categories; Yetter-Drinfeld algebras; invariant subalgebras of compact quantum groups; ergodic coactions of \(G=SU_q(2)\), \(0<| q| \leq 1\).
