This paper is a survey on ``hidden'' coalgebras attached to several algebraic structures, sometimes described without any reference to these coalgebras. After reminders on tensors, distributive laws and coalgebras, the following examples are pointed: Frobenius algebras and separable algebras; bialgebras and Hopf algebras; entwining algebras and coalgebras.
