In [Linear Algebra Appl. 418, No. 1, 130--141 (2006; Zbl 1103.94026)] the author introduced the notion of burst errors for 2-dimensional array coding systems. In [Acta Math. Sin., Engl. Ser. 26, No. 8, 1475--1484 (2010; Zbl 1201.94121)] she also introduced the so-called Lee-RT-Jain (LRTJ) metric for array codes. This is a generalization of both the classical Lee metric and the array RT metric. In this article, array codes equipped with the LRTJ metric are considered. Sufficient conditions on the parameters of these codes for burst error identification and correction are given.
