The authors construct the exact solution of this crack problem by means of series expansions based on the solution of a matrix Riemann-Hilbert problem in terms of hypergeometric functions. With the chosen boundary conditions on the crack faces, the solution of this problem is new and has potential for higher-dimensional generalizations. The known idea of solving crack problems by Riemann-Hilbert problems are extended to the new type of boundary conditions. On one side of the crack, the type of the boundary conditions is changing and causes additional singularities in the solution. Stress intensity factors are determined.
