The authors prove a sharpness result for the Mockenhaupt-Mitsis-Bak-Seeger Fourier restriction theorem in higher dimensions. Their sharpness result in dimension \(d\) is of the same form as their previous result in dimension one [Geom. Funct. Anal. 23, No. 4, 1262--1277 (2013; Zbl 1279.28008)], except for the fact that in the latter \((0,1)\) was the interval where the parameters lived, while in the former such an interval naturally becomes \((d-1,d)\).
