The author of the book is a specialist in particle physics in astrophysical and cosmological context with emphasis in cosmic rays. The 860 pages monograph, published in 2017, covers the astrophysical theory and phenomenology. This first volume is structured in five parts: (i) particle physics, (II) cosmology and astrophysics, (III) cosmic rays and (iV) neutrinos and gravitational waves, and (V) dark matter and fundamental symmetries. The main body of the book is supplemented by a selection of exercises at the end of each chapter (16 chapters totally) and a a glossary of the most important concepts. Since the aim of the author was to include the maximum of topics relevant for the theme, some of these are fragmented and scattered throughout the book or are only briefly discussed, making thus the exposition to have an encyclopedic style. The large number of references (1052) provide the necessary additional information for the interested reader.
