The authors use a thermoelastic potential of displacements and a biharmonic Love function for determining the temperature, displacements and stresses in a semi-infinite body caused by a heat source. The boundary of a semi-infinite body is rigidly, smoothly or flexibly clamped at zero temperature or heat insulation. The plots of axial, radial, circular and tangential stresses on the body boundary are presented depending on the distance from the heat source to the boundary.
