The authors propose a procedure for the analytical and numerical solution of one-dimensional thermoelasticity problems for bodies of simple geometry. The method is based on the presentation of temperature dependences of physical and mechanical characteristics of the material in the form of piecewise-constant temperature functions, the use of Kirchhoff substitution and the apparatus of generalized functions. This method allows one to study with controlled certainty one-dimensional non-stationary thermal and quasi-static stress strain states under combined thermal and mechanical loading.
