This is an expanded second edition of the authors' earlier work of the same title. The book continues to provide a sound introduction to the theory of fractional differential equations and differs from the first edition, in particular, with the addition of material on fractional impulsive differential equations and fractional partial differential equations The book is structured into 7 chapters with chapter 1 providing basic preliminaries and definitions. The chapters then feature fractional functional differential equations, fractional ordinary differential equations in a Banach space, fractional abstract evolution equations, fractional impulsive differential equations, fractional boundary value problems and fractional partial differential equations. In each chapter, there is a theoretical treatment: questions of existence and uniqueness and multiplicity of solutions are considered and a range of techniques appropriate to the different classes of problem is presented.
