The authors consider the group algebra of a dihedral group of order \(2p\) over a field of characteristic \(p\) different from \(2\). This admits an involution * by taking the inverse of each element of \(G\) in the expression of an element of the group algebra. In this paper, the structure of the group of *-unitary units of the group algebra, as well as the structure of the maximal \(p\)-subgroup of the unit group, are studied.
