Some recent advances in partial difference equations (Q2834590)

In this book several authors contribute various articles on the theory of partial difference equations, these being the discrete analogue of partial differential equations. The first chapter is an article on oscillation theory for partial difference equations. In addition, conditions for nonexistence of positive solutions of certain classes of partial difference equations are presented. The second chapter studies partial difference equations by means of functional analytic methods. The third chapter is a study of systems of partial difference equations. Finally, the fourth chapter analyzes some connections between partial differential equations and partial difference equations. Since there are not many books for partial difference equations (as opposed to ordinary difference equations), this would seem to be a helpful addition to the literature for any researcher interested in learning more about this area of mathematics.
