The joy of SET. The many mathematical dimensions of a seemingly simple card game (English)

SET is a card game that is popular in the US. This book discusses mathematical problems related to SET, mainly from combinatorics and probability, but also from linear algebra and geometry. Large parts of the book are presented in the form of dialogues, which, I am afraid, do not appeal to my generation (``Now I get it! This is so cool!''). A particular low point is the idea of letting clones of ``three ancient scholars, Socrates, Euclid, and Theano'' (SET -- got it?) discuss non-Euclidean geometry, with an extra portion of the modern feminist point of view on historiography thrown in for free. Two pictures of cats round off this book.
