The authors investigate theoretically data on the recombination rate in weakly ionized plasmas, both ideal and non-ideal. The suppression of recombination due to multiparticle fluctuations is responsible for recombination damping. The role of ion solvatation in the decreasing of the recombination rate is studied. A formula is proposed which takes into account the non-ideality of the plasma and the solvatation processes.
