Shot time dynamics of an elliptic cylinder motion in inviscid incompressible free boundary flow (English)

This paper is devoted to the investigation of an elliptic cylinder motion which is embedded into an ideal incompressible liquid. Besides the longitudinal motion, the cylinder is rotating at constant angular acceleration. A strong deformation of the external free surface of liquid is observed at initial moments, and the boundary layer blows up.
