In a monograph by the authors, a correct formulation of the boundary conditions for 2D-and 3D-model problems of poro-elasticity was derived from a variational principle when some limitations on the components of the physical fields are taken into consideration. Here, thermo-electro-elasticity problems are taken as an analog to construct a functional which leads to the vibration equations and the boundary conditions for a poro-elastic body
