The goal is to study complete geometric description of all partial differential equations of two variables up to third order included, which are generated by own coordinate grids on the Lobachevsky plane. The Gauss generalized third order equations are obtained, which completely describe the above class of equations. An algorithm of structural restoration of pseudospherical generating metrics is obtained. This algorithm is applied to the construction of a metric for the KdV modified equation.
