The authors deduce some plane-wave solutions to a unified field theory in 5 dimensions. They refer to the paper by \textit{B. Finzi} (see [Atti Accad. Naz. Lincei, VIII. Ser., Rend., Cl. Sci. Fis. Mat. Nat. 14, 581--588 (1953; Zbl 0053.47303)]), but in fact, Finzi's mentioned paper deals with Einstein's unified field theory; therefore, the title of the present paper is a little bit misleading.
