The authors propose an interpretation of modelling water ecosystems, which are at various initial states (here-an area in the phase space). Just after external impact the ecosystem undergoes restructuring and adaption to the new conditions. Stability of ecosystems with respect to the external impact depends upon the current state of the ecosystem, in other words on the specific metabolic power of the ecosystem. .
