The authors study two averaged models of transverse and longitudinal vibrations in microinhomogeneous composite materials. This kind of material presents interleaved layers of two isotropic materials, an elastic one and viscoelastic one. The spectrum investigation of each averaged model reduces to finding the roots of cubic equations.
