Quantum Monte-Carlo programming for atoms, molecules, clusters, and solids (English)

The book shows how one can use Monte Carlo techniques to solve some equations of quantum physics, and it focuses more especially on variational quantum Monte Carlo schemes. It examines successively two-electron systems, three-electron systems, many-electron systems, and infinite-number-of-electron systems. In each case, it provides the theory on the one hand and the program on the other hand. The book is pleasant to read, and it contains many program samples.
