In the paper, a certain integral boundary value problem is considered for second-order non-linear differential equations with an argument deviation and a parameter \(\lambda\). By using a fixed-point theorem in cones, the authors prove the existence and non-existence of positive solutions to the problem studied in both cases, when the equation is delayed and advanced. Number of positive solutions for large and small values of \(\lambda\) is studied as well.
