This book provides a structured programme in learning partial differential equations for advanced undergraduate or beginning graduate students in applied mathematics, physics or engineering sciences. The first chapter contains an introduction to the material while the second one provides a classification of PDEs. Chapter 3 deals with Fourier series and Chapter 4 is concerned with solving standard linear PDEs on finite domains. Chapters 5 and 6 present a study into the characteristics and respectively integral transforms. Chapter 7 is concerned with special functions and orthogonal polynomials. The next two chapters discuss the Sturm-Liouville theory and PDEs in higher dimensions. Chapter 10 of the book presents the study of nonhomogeneous problems and Green's functions while the last chapter is concerned with numerical methods for PDEs. Every chapter of the book contains an introduction and a historical overview. The textbook contains six appendices; it also includes many problems, proofs and \texttt{MATLAB} exercises.
