The aim of the paper is to determine which Bruhat-Tits buildings of dimension at least two are metrically complete.NEWLINENEWLINETheorem. The Bruhat-Tits building is metrically complete if and only if the completion of the associated alternative division algebra is spherically complete, up to certain cases involving infinite-dimensionality and residue characteristic 2.
