Positive solutions of a nonlinear elliptic problem (English)

This paper is concerned with the study of solutions of a class of nonlinear elliptic equations with Dirichlet boundary condition. Under various assumptions, the authors establish some qualitative properties of solutions, including the symmetry with respect to hyperplanes or radially symmetry properties. A key tool in the proofs is the Gidas-Ni-Nirenberg theorem.
