A short review and an analysis of base methods of upgridding of geology-hydrodynamic hydrocarbon field models are presented. New approaches for the measure of inaccuracy calculation during upscaling processes and for estimation of number of layers which can be combined under conditions of an filtration-volume parameters uncertainty without compromissing accuracy. Examples of some concrete layer combinations are anaysed.
