On the stability of the Nyström method for the Muskhelishvili equation on contours with corners (English)

For the numerical solution of the Muskhelishvili equation on a piecewise smooth simple contour, the authors consider the use of a Nyström method based on a compound Gauss-Legendre quadrature formula. Using a tedious analysis, they develop conditions for the stability (in the \(L^2\) norm) of this approach. The angles of the corners of the contour play a crucial role in these conditions. Numerical experiments are given to elucidate the theoretical results.
