Analysis of stabilized finite volume method for Poisson equation (English)
0 references
This paper presents a theoretical study of the stabilized finite volume method for the Poisson equation on a planar domain with piecewise Lipschitz boundary. The authors introduce a new mixed variational formulation in order to derive optimal error estimates of the algorithm. By means of \(L^2\)-projection method the superconvergence of the algorithm is investigated. Various numerical experiments are also presented.
