On the Iwasawa invariants of a link in the 3-sphere (English)
0 references
This paper is written in the context of the analogy between knots and primes due to Hillman, Matei, and Morishita. More precisely, the authors discuss analogies between Iwasawa invariants of cyclic branched coverings of links in the 3-sphere and Iwasawa theory of number fields. They discuss the parity of certain invariant, consider the existence of coverings of links having prescribed Iwasawa invariants, and present some examples of 2-component links with fixed Iwasawa invariants. Finally, the authors propose a problem similar to Greenberg's conjecture from Iwasawa theory.
