The author introduces a new type of Laplacian \(\Delta\) on the non-commutative Heisenberg manifold in the sense of \textit{M.~A.~Rieffel} [Commun. Math. Phys. 122, No. 4, 531--562 (1989; Zbl 0679.46055)]; the type of Laplacian is different from the one used by \textit{N.~Weaver} [J. Oper. Theory 43, No. 2, 223--242 (2000; Zbl 0993.46044)]. The main technical tools include the Chevalley-Eilenberg complexes and cyclic cohomology theory of A.~Connes and B.~Tsygan.
