In this second edition, there are three chapters added in comparison to the first edition [New York, NY: John Wiley \& Sons. (1997; Zbl 0872.00003; ME 1997d.02330)]. The added chapters are:NEWLINENEWLINE 12. (topics about) Phythagorian triples, quadratic reciprocity, Gaussian (and other types of) integers, etc.,NEWLINENEWLINE 13. (norms and ideals), prime ideals, integers in a quadratic field, etc.,NEWLINENEWLINE 14. abstract rings etc.NEWLINENEWLINE The additions are done by the author in the same way as he died if in first edition. The reader should judge the second edition for him/herself, regarding the historic involvements in the text. There are plenty of exercises with solutions.
