Nonparametric methods in statistics with SAS applications (English)
0 references
The first three chapters of this book cover a few hypothesis testing methods about location and scale parameters for two samples operated under the umbrella of SAS software packages. Loess regression and thin-plate smoothing methods of fitting splines are well covered in Chapter 4 which are not commonly available in most of the other books. The book also covers fitting of nonparametric logistic and Poisson models. Estimation in case of hazard models is delineated in detail. Jackknife and bootstrap methods are succinctly discussed. Each estimation and testing procedure in this book is immediately followed by the SPSS software program. There is an abundance of numerical examples solved through SAS software packages. On the whole, the book provides good material in the selected area of nonparametric statistics.
