In this paper, a noncooperative semilinear elliptic system on a bounded domain is considered. To get the ground state solution, the generalized Nehari manifold is used to overcome the difficulties that the usual Nehari manifold need not to be closed. Then by the Ekeland variational principle, the solution is obtained.
