By using a variational formulation due to Fitzpatrick, the author studies the homogenization of maximal monotone operators from the point of view of two-scale transformations. First, he addresses scale transformations in a general framework, and then he applies the obtained results to the homogenization of a quasilinear model of Ohmic electric conduction with Hall effect for a periodic material.
