Let \(\mathcal C(2m,k)\) be the set of all cactuses (i.e., connected graphs in which any two cycles have at most one common vertex) on \(2m\) vertices, \(k\) cycles, and with perfect matchings. The authors identify in \(\mathcal C(2m,k)\) the unique graph with the largest spectral radius.
