Generalized semi-ideals in ternary semirings. (English)

After recalling some basic notions considering ternary semirings, the authors introduce the notion of a generalized semi-ideal of a ternary semiring. They give several examples to establish independence of generalized semi-ideals from the notions of ternary subsemirings, bi-ideals and quasi-ideals. Behaviour under some operations is investigated, and a criterion for a commutative ternary semiring without any divisors of zero to be a ternary division semiring is given.
