This paper deals with the finite volume methods for elliptic and parabolic problems on a family of quadrilateral meshes. The authors utilize Bralow points for constructing dual volumes and developing quadratic finite volume methods. To derive optimal-order error estimates in the \(H^1\)- and \(L^2\)-norms for parabolic problems, a symmetrization technique is used. Two numerical examples are presented.
