    The authors deduce several results related to decay properties of the Klein-Gordon equation (a kind of a scalar wave equation on a curved spacetime) in the Kerr-anti de Sitter spacetime. Main methods are the appropriate foliation of the spacetime, the careful consideration of the field near the horizon of the black hole, and adequate dealing with singularities of the field.NEWLINENEWLINEThe main results are the deduction of a logarithmic decay of the scalar field under certain regularity assumptions, the non-existence of non-static time-periodic solutions, and some results related to the Schwarzschild black hole.NEWLINENEWLINEFor further results by the same authors on the same topic see [Commun.
