This is a companion volume to [the author, Brückenkurs Mathematik. Fit für Mathematik im Studium. Berlin: De Gruyter/Oldenbourg (2014; Zbl 1346.00043)] which is meant for science students. It contains exercises from the textbook with solutions given in stages. The exercises in this exercise book are subdivided in the following areas: Linear functions, quadratic functions, power functions, polynomial functions, complete induction and sequences, introduction into differential calculus, solutions of systems of linear equations, rational functions, trigonometric functions, exponential functions, derivative of inverse function, integration, introduction to vectors, analytic geometry, some numerical methods, proportions. The solutions are revealed in stages, starting with answers and ending in full solutions. The choice and level of exercises corresponds to US pre-calculus and calculus I courses for science and engineering students.
