The authors develop the existence and the nature of the transmission eigenvalues for heterogeneous and anisotropic elastic bodies for a wide class of mass density and elastic contrasts between the two solid features by the interior transmission problem (ITP). A number of theorems are developed for the existence and uniqueness in the problem. Bounds are also discussed for validation. The only drawback of this foundation paper is that it does not illustrate the result with numerical experiments.
