Exact categories have been studied by many authors: Harada, Mochizuki, Keller, etc.NEWLINENEWLINEIn this paper the authors introduce the notion of a modular pullback exact category, study modular lattices \((\overset{\rightarrowtail }{e},\vee ,\wedge )\) and \((\overset{\twoheadrightarrow }{e},\vee ,\wedge )\) on the skeletally small modular pullback exact category \((\mathcal{C},\mathcal{E})\) and show that there is an isomorphism between these two lattices. Also they study short exact sequences of lattices induced by \(\mathcal{E}\)-exact sequences.
