On isomorphism between certain group algebras on the Heisenberg group (Q2860840)

The authors consider two algebras related to the Heisenberg group \(H_n\). The first one is the algebra of integrable radial functions on \(H_n\). As for the second one, when \(K\) is a compact subgroup of \(\text{Aut}(H_n), (K,H_n)\) is said to be a Gelfand pair, and associated to it there is the algebra of spherical functions. The authors give an explicit algebraic isomorphism between said algebras, and they show their result by means of the explicit spherical functions and the heat kernel on \(\mathbb R^n\).
