Introduction to the theory of generalized functions (English)
0 references
This Russian textbook serves as an excellent introduction to the theory of generalized functions. Starting from preliminary facts from functional analysis such as topological and metric spaces and the Hahn-Banach theorem, the authors carefully guide their readers to the theory of generalized functions, including some state-of-the-art results on asymptotically homogeneous generalized functions important in PDE theory. Knowledge of basic facts from mathematical analysis, including measure theory and Lebesgue integration, is expected from the readers. The textbook provides many examples and exercises.
